Today was a great day with Ellie. Ellie got to see sleeping beauty, the play. I loved seeing her smiling again. I got to go out with some friends and just laugh. Thanks for the good times girls, I really needed the distraction.
As much as today was a good day, tonight I have mixed feelings. One of my friends sent me information on a little boy named Danny who lost his battle with a brain tumor at the age of 7. She also sent me the link to the mother’s blog. I spent the last hour just reading the mothers blog. I was so inspired by the little boy’s courage. I compared it to what we might be going through very soon and it scares me because I know Ellie is a strong little girl but I don’t know if she can endure the pain and suffering that comes with Chemo and Radiation. I so worry about her. I just can pray that it will be a miracle and she will not need to endure a yearlong treatment. Wednesday is the big day when we find out more information. I just feel like throwing up, thinking about it.
Ok on to a more positive note. Tuesday night 2/22 The front street cantina is hosting another fundraiser for Ellie. The tips at the bar will go to the Ellie Fund.
I also am asking for everyone’s help. My sister has filled out the application for us to be on extreme home makeover. She was wondering if everyone could write a note why we are a deserving family and email it to her at firstname.lastname@example.org title it Extreme home makeover. I know most of you know that when we purchased this house it need allot of fixing up and Dave and I now don’t have the time or the money since Ellie was diagnosed. So we are hoping that maybe, just maybe we can be chosen to take allot of stress off our shoulders. Thanks so much for everyone’s support.
Once again if you can pray for good reports on Ellie’s MRI on Wednesday. Also please pray for Danny’s family as they struggle through the loss of their little boy.
A mother with a battle ahead of her.
